This pewter whale oil lamp has a cylindrical font with a brass & tin burner which screws into the font. The lamp measures 6 1/2" tall with a base diameter of 3 3/4". The lamp dates about 1840. The maker is (Roswell) Gleason of Dorchester, Massachusetts
