This is a taller version of the usual whale oil lamp. It has a lemon shaped font and a brass and tin burner which screws into the font. Many light fuels could be burned in this lamp but whale oil was the most frequent. The lamp measures 8 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" diameter base. It was made about 1830-1840.
